| The people you meet in this video are the ones who responded when I said: "Someday, somewhere, somebody is going to be sitting on a couch watching this, a person who could use some help..." You will visit an impressive variety of fellow human beings in this video. We interviewed 125 anonymous people from many walks of life, from all around the United States. Peek inside the heads, lives, and living rooms of ordinary people: - age 15 to 81 (but most are from 21 to 34 years old) - small towns and big cities (From the Deep South, New England, Midwest, Chicago, San Francisco, Humboldt County and California) - single, married, dating, divorced, widowed, shacking up - black people, white people, brown people - wealthy, poor, middle-class - white collar, blue collar, no collar - working people, college students, musicians, artists, technicians, clergy, ex-cons, professionals, athletes, teachers, nurses, rappers, bartender, psychiatrist. - with various sexual preferences/practices/histories - shy, confident, thoughtful, funny, kind... - people like you! The Couch Potato Guide To Life does not insult you with some out-of-touch supposed expert preaching their one-sided opinion. Instead, in this video, the diverse participants share thousands of useful ideas born from their actual true life experiences. Pay attention, and their lessons may inspire fresh ways of looking at your own life situation... "4000 years of life experience" We trust that you are open-minded, reflective, and will truly benefit from the straight talk offered in the video as you create your own answers in life. Think of the 125 people in this "ultimate how-to guide" as a vast collection of inside information representing about 4000 years of life experience. And wherever you are at today, others have walked this path, before you. This is A Different Kind of Reality TV: -No Hollywood -No aspiring actors -No hottest celebrities The intention was to create this video using participants who are "average Americans": just like the people you see at the grocery store, in the city, or in the country. Our guiding principle has been "the more, the merrier". Everyone brings a piece of the puzzle to the table. In the course of making the video and inviting friends and strangers to participate, almost everyone I spoke to was intrigued by the concept and wanted to get a copy of the finished product. Yet, I discovered it was the exceptional person who was actually willing to sit in front of the camera and open their heart and mind for all to share. So when it comes to enjoying life, it's no wonder that these people are the ones who have so much to teach the rest of us. What you see on display here is the kindness of strangers. |
